Drawing Graphs with GUI

hi im new here, first i wanna say Hi :)
i have this problem, my teacher wants me to present drawing of 2D graphs using GUI however, i went thru java 2d samples and i dont seem to see any applets/codes that i can use to plot a histogram/bar chart which i need for my GUI project.

If anyone could help me out by directing me to a link or coding some part of the program, ur help out be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

You can refer to the jfreechart. Its open source project.
