According to this post, the expected calendar extensions Thunderbird 1.5 will be Lightning not the old calendar extensions. Evidently, the new version of the Calendar version for FireFox is taking a back seat to the TB 1.5 Lightning extension for now at this time.

It also seems that by time the Calendar extension for FireFox 1.5 is updated that it will be renamed Lightning to reflect the Lightining code incorporations/integrations.
