Don Busch has written an in depth article for this month's OCI Java News Brief (JNB) about the Real-Time Specification for Java.

It's hard to believe but this stuff is JSR-1. (Even our beloved Java Generics has a JSR number of 14.)

Don Busch: The Real-Time Specification for Java (RTSJ) aims to change that perception by enhancing the Java platform with capabilities required by real-time applications. The RTSJ team members believe that the Real-Time Specification for Java will be the first real-time programming language to be both technologically and commercially successful.
