I've installed Red Hat 9.0 at home on my PC, a bit because I need to learn at least the basics for work and also something new to play around with. First thoughts is that RH9 is a much more usable environment than earlier versions but it still has a long, long way to go before I'd call it a suitable OS for general users.

There are simple things that I find annoying as a new user, how do I resize all icons ? Its probaby in some conf file buried in /etc. This isn't a stab at Linux, but more so at docs (man pages?). I guess I'm also still thinking in Windows mode, so it may be just time till I adjust.

A book that's helping me on the way is Running Linux, its going to be on my desktop for quite sometime yet.
