We are looking for engaging and inspirational speakers for this year’s Gatineau / Ottawa Agile Tour. If you are interested in speaking, please send an email to: speaker@GOAgileTour.ca and provide the following information: Required Information Contact Information (email, phone, LinkedIn, Twitter, Blog…) Speaker Bio, Experience Speaking History and Experience (events, # of people, references) Session title Who is your intended audience? What will they take away from your session? Expected duration* Session Description** The language in which you would like to speak*** Feel free to supply any additional content that you feel may help convey why we should pick your proposal. The Conference theme has not been finalized yet. We welcome your ideas. * Presentations should be 40-50 minutes leaving 10 minutes for questions. We have a limited number of longer slots (90 mins). If you are submitting a proposal for such a longer slot, make sure you say so in the proposal. Note that for longer slots, preference will be given to proposals that include a significicant “interactive” component” ** Describe your session: give us a rough idea of what you will cover and how you will cover it. We have a strong preference that you tell us roughly how will you use the time if we give it to you. Your job is to sell the organizing committee on how the attendees will gain value. ** French presentations will take place in a separate track of the conference. Evaluation Criteria The organizing committee will pick the speakers based on the following criteria: Learning potential for and appeal to participants Practicality and usefulness/applicability of content to the workplace Relevance to Agile Overall program balance (we will aim to minimize duplication) Speaker’s experience and reputation Interactive elements (i.e. exercises, simulations, questions…) Deadline All interested Speakers must submit their proposal by August 30th About the Gatineau – Ottawa Agile Tour The Gatineau – Ottawa Agile Tour (#GOAT13) is a full day of conferences around the theme of Agility applied to software development, but also to management, marketing, product management and other areas of today’s businesses. The 1st edition was held in November 2012 and was a huge success attracting more than 170 participants. We are planning to hold this year’s event towards the end of November 2013.
