Mark will be a presenting speaker at the 2016 Gatineau Ottawa Agile Tour, with his new “Agile Leadership Beyond the Basics” session. As title sponsor, we’re very proud and excited to participate in the annual conference once again. Registration for the conference is available here. Affectionately known as GOAT, the one-day conference will take place at the Shaw Center in Ottawa on November 21, 2016. Organized by a local team of dedicated Agile practitioners, #GOAT16 will be a value-packed event for the 500+ professionals expected to attend this year. Mark will join three keynote speakers and an impressive collection of other presenters to offer his Executive Session at 10:45am. You’re a Manager or Executive, not a ScrumMaster. So what is the role of Leadership in an Agile Organization? You’ve seen the Dan Pink video on Motivation but are mystified as to how to help. The Agile Leadership Beyond the Basics workshop, ideal for Leaders and people who are attempting to influence Leadership within an Agile organization, will aim to help attendees understand: engaged vs. disengaged workers, and their own motivations as a leader Theory X/Y Herzberg’s Two Factors and their application to the workplace SCARF and Avery Responsibility Process models Finally, participants will practice putting all they’ve learned, together with the role-play of several potential leadership behaviours, for valuable hands-on experience. Mark would love to see you at the conference, and would value your input on the “Agile Leadership Beyond the Basics” session. The workshop will become part of a soon-to-be-released public Agile Leadership course offered by Agile Pain Relief.
