Forte for Java 2

I have used several products and, from my experience, I believe Sun's Forte for Java is a much better product than IBM VisualAge for Java, Oracle JDeveloper and Microsoft's Visual J++.

If you want to have a look, a small but functional-rich version is available from Sun's web site for free. Unless you want to work with RMI, JSP, etc. the free version should be more than adequate for you to use.

You must use the SDK 1.3 though. However, you are not restricted into using all of the latest features. You can still use AWT and applets.
