There could be two reasons why you are getting this exception.
1. The database driver you are using doesn't support scrolling
in both directions.
2. Or, if your database driver support scrolling in both direction then you are not creating the sql statement which can be scrolled in both directions. Please see the Connection.createStatement() method for options.
