string arrays

i stored values that i got from the form in a string array,and later used those elements.
during this process, i got error saying string initialisation is requred, so i initialised as following,
String[] s={"","",""};
now my question is how can i initialize the string array if its length is known only at runtime(that is its length is more than 3).
