Applet in IE

Posted by Komdedzi Kofi on December 27, 2001 at 5:13 PM

Hello to all,
Excuse me, I'm new on this list.
I wrote some Swing-applets which can be easily viewed with Appletviewer. On some advices I've already downloaded and installed Java-Plug-in and Html Converter (versions 1.3.1_01 and 1.3.1_02).
When I bind the applet in my Html-code and try it in Internet Explorer 5.5 I always have the following error message on the Java console:

Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.3.1_02
Verwendung der JRE-Version 1.3.1_01 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
Home-Verzeichnis des Benutzers = C:\WINDOWS

Proxy-Konfiguration:Manuelle Konfiguration

Proxy:

Can anyone tell me how to install the Java-plug-in and the Html converter and how to do the proxy settings correctly?
Thanks for your help and best regards.
K. Kofi
