URL Redirection PLEASE HELP!

If I create a URL object to
"http://www.xyz.com/help.html"
and then this page is redirected to
"http://xyz.com/help/index.html" (as an example),

is there any way I can detect the new url at which I
am at (ie the http://xyz.com/help/index.html )

I need this new address for the resolution of urls.
