linux search path

go to /root and type ls -a. and then edit .bash_profile like this:(assuming your jdk in /root/homt/jdk1.3)
JAVA_PATH=/root/home/jdk1.3/bin
export JAVA_PATH
and then save the file

to test, just type java -version to see if the JVM version information is right.
