Java Applet

Sir,
I created two Applet programs one for server and other for client
in the same System means it works for "localhost".
But if it was used for different System It gives an
Error "Access Denied". So I convert the whole program to
ordinary application program Noew it works Why?
Is there any restriction for applet as it wont allow to
touch the remote file System. Note: here i havent accesed the
remote files
