JApplet with drawrect

I have encountered a problem in programming with Swing.
PROBLEM JApplet with Swing Components like JButtons and a Rectangle using Graphics.drawRect(25,25,25,25)inside paint method.
when I run the program, I encountered the following problem. No JComponet was visible. Only Rectangle was visible
