Maybe you could position the JEditorPane (with invisible border) in a JPanel to get the effect of a margin? There is likely a better way than this; probably you need to spend some quality time between the sheets of a thick Swing book... - mfg > whats a margin? I can try if I know what that is. Regarding copy/cut/paste you do not have to worry about that. JDK 1.3 has great package(s) > Jay
