However, I think you may get some good ideas on how to access a database from an applet at the following site: http://hsql.oron.ch/ the home of hypersonicSQL which allows an in-memory database to be created within an applet. (hSQL by itself is enough to check this out.) I don't represent hSQL, but a bunch of my programmer friends and I have been really amazed by this 100% object oriented java database program.
