Windows Live Messenger for Mobile Browsers has became available.

The app is targeted at all users who don't have Windows Live Messenger rich clients running on their devices, but have access to a web browser on their phone. The UI has changed over the previous MSN version by making it easier to handle multiple conversations.

It will be added soon to the mobile portal http://mobile.live.com (access from a mobile device).
Until then you can access directly by going to http://mobile.live.com/wlm/imsi.aspx.
