Hi

I bought 'Programming in Scala Second Edition' in Kindle format. When viewing the book in Amazon Cloud Reader GIF images representing code blocks are broken, both in Chrome and Firefox. Whom should I contact to get this fixed - Artima or Amazon?

See http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=177561 for technical details and an example screenshot.

Looks like it was considered a bug in the cloud reader for which a fix was submitted yesterday, but regardless, we are working on a change to our mobi strategy that would work around it. When we first did out book build we chose to use images for code samples in mobi, because mobi offered no way to say "preformatted text." We are now looking at using text instead of images.

The desktop kindle reader has minuscule fonts for the code snippets.

I'm assuming that it may be related to the fact that the snippets are images instead of something scalable.

Here's how it looks : https://www.evernote.com/shard/s30/sh/c70f5e54-dc61-49ce-9c4b-fbad5c74302c/456b5990e7361dadc0f6634dffa167f6

It makes it impossible to read.
