Well its almost 3rd Quarter Cy 2003 adn we still do not have the answers
we need on Sun's Unified Testing
Initiative at Javaverified.com. What questions? Questions such as:
1. Is UTI only covering MIDP2.0 or does it cover also MIDP1.0? 2. What is
the price of the compatibility testing by 3rd parties? 3. What content
is outlawed per the agreement per local laws?
While I can see only
paying one fee for one test of an applicaiton marketed to different sales
channels, I am of course concenred with costs. In the case of MIDP1.0
there is no value in Java logo brand in that end users what the sound and
shakes with games which is not MIDP1.0 but closed apis instead.
