Yeah, Bill, bad news. By my estimation, Ruby actually has about twice as many libraries as Python at this point.

Most insightful to me was when Sam Ruby reverted to Python for Venus.

Sam Ruby reverted to Python for a...feed aggregator? Lord knows there aren't enough of those around.
