You can can lock the screen on the Motorola Xoom to avoid accidental usage of the device.

If you going travelling, you could lock the screen so that nothing would happens if something touches it. Another reason to lock it is to secure the device, if someone else got hold of the device they would not be able to access it. Here's how:

1. Go back to the Home screen.

2. Then Press the Power/Lock key .

3. Wait for a moment and the screen timeout.

4. Now the power is switched off.

You can unlock the screen by doing a similar action.

1. Press on the Power/Lock key .

2. The display should become active, now drag and slide the icon over.
