Before you can connect to a Wi-Fi network on the Motorola Xoom, you need to first setup the Wifi settings.
Once you are connected, the settings is saved in the device memory. The next time you would like to join the same network, you do not have to go through the setup again. Here's how:
1. Press the Home button to go back home.
2. Taps on Apps
.
3. Next select Settings
.
4. Tap on Wireless & Networks.
5. Then tap on Wi-Fi Settings.

6. Then tap on Add Wi-Fi network.
7. Now you will need to put in the network SSID. This ID is normally setup on the router. If you don't know what it is you could ask your network administrator, or if you have access to the network router you could find this out yourself.
8. If your network is password protected, you may have to enter the password and select what type of security it is using. Eg. WEP, WPA/WPA2 PSK and etc.
You now have successfully setup the wifi connection setting. Now you can tap on Wi-Fi and try to connect.
