...because I strongly tell them that Premature Optimization is an Anti-Pattern and should never be pursued. I show the avoid boxing technique in the context of telling them ONLY use this technique if you begin to have performance problems using the 1.1 Container objects and the Allocation or CLR Profiler have pointed you in that direction.
