I had a great demo yesterday by Stef @ IOKO of the LAWS Accelerator for CMS.

Not immediately obvious from the name (unless you work for a UK local authority) - but if you want your CMS site to have RSS support, fast navigation via access keys and meta data selection from hierarchical lists - then check it out. Its distributed freely / under open source.
