Since I'm just a corporate shill for NewsGator now, I'll re-post Greg's message in its entirety. :-D Yep, we're still looking for great Windows and .NET developers.  Turns out it's pretty hard to find folks with the depth of knowledge we're looking for.  Most recently, Gordon has joined us (welcome!), but we still need more help. So I...

Sun's lawyers are being a bunch of assholes to Ted Neward. When big companies try to steamroll individuals with their cadre of lawyers, you really have to stand up for what's right. Ted is a superbly intelligent Java guy (I loved Effective Enterprise Java, and I'm not a Java developer!). For Sun to try to shut him down is just plain suicidal...

I added blog ratings to my site, via NewsGator Online. Adding them is free and simple, presuming you use a template system to build your blog entries. For example, you can use this little snippet on my MovableType web log to insert the ratings: <span class="BlogRating">Rating: <script...

Dell had an outstanding $750 off one day coupon going yesterday for Inspiron laptops that cost $1500 or more. I took the opportunity to replace my nearly 4 years old laptop (January of 2001 was when the Compaq came into my life, if memory serves). The new laptop is going to put it to shame in both power and weight. :-p Dell Inspiron XPS Pentium...

This didn't seem to get much press, or maybe I missed it. ArsTechnica announced their re-design about a week ago (kudos on the new design; it's much better than the old one). Buried at the end in the FAQ we find this: Q. What are you running all of this on? A. The content portion of Ars Technica, aka the front page, now runs on a cluster of...

This is definitely one of the easiest to use tools to turn source code into syntax colored HTML. It's a Visual Studio plug-in. The HTML it generates uses CSS, and is pretty lightweight (in fact, it looks more or less exactly like I would write it, if I were doing to make a tool like this). Found at Haacked. This content is syndicated from The...
