Steve Makofsky yawns over my Podcasting post, so let's follow-up. Do I want to listen to random bloggers talking about their cats? No. Do I want to listen to an intelligent weekly radio program like Gillmor Gang? Definitely. Would I subscribe if someone like Don Box was publishing audio of his talks? Hell yes! I already Podcast manually with...

Always the last to know, I am. At Gnomedex I learned about the new phenomenon called Podcasting. Basically, it's audio-blogging, except that it's done on a regular basis, in some cases sounds quite professional, and can be combined with software to automatically download the Podcasts and shove them into your jukebox. If you're an iPod user, you...

Start with 2 shots of iTunes. Mix in 1 shot of Airport Express. Top off with a jigger of RemoteAmp on a wireless PocketPC. Voila! I call this drink "The damn coolest music remote control you've ever seen". :) This content is syndicated from The .NET Guy. The original post is Remote Music. The opinions expressed herein are solely those of Brad...

A while ago, I stopped using ISO Recorder for two really important reasons: it didn't work with W2K3 and didn't work non-admin. The version 2 beta seems to fix both those problems, along with a problem related to not working under XP SP2. Pay attention to the beta logs for important information. This content is syndicated from The .NET Guy. The...

Thanks to Shawn A. Van Ness who points out The Oyster, a USB 2.0 hub that's designed as one of the most potentially useful laptop docks ever. They sell it on Amazon. The comments vary between REALLY happy and REALLY angry, so it must be an excellent product. ;) One downside: it doesn't fit that iBook that I love so much. However, it might make...

I played around with the recently released SharpDevelop 1.0 today. There are a few things I'm not entirely pleased with, but that's minor stuff. I'm going to start using it for my personal projects, and see how I like it. The stuff that's done right, is done very right. It's definitely faster and lighter weight than Visual Studio, and the price...

Sunday is the big moving day. We're both feverishly packing away. I'm going to end up being dark for a few days, not the least reason being that I have no idea when I'm going to have a phone line, much less DSL service. It's going to make working a little difficult, too. See you guys in a while... This content is syndicated from The .NET Guy...
