Just read an article over at java.net on the rational behind the Shocks Servlet Framework. Spring being another framework along the same lines, so to speak. I like the choice of all three names though, all are used to providing support under loading 400 . Struts, providing rigid support, and Shocks and Springs provide support via flexing and...

What is up with java.blogs lately. It cannot seem to stay up (sounds like a Viagra commercial). Hopefully the issues will be fixed soon.

There are some interesting and convincing arguments in this article by Nick Hodges made about the advantages Delphi shops have in moving their apps to .NET over those using VB and C++. My company is a Delphi shop and seeing as we will eventually have our app using .NET underneath, either using Delphi 8 for .NET 400 and beyond or using C# for new...

There is some buzz going around about Jim Hugunin's benchmarks of IronPython (.NET compiler for Python). Good to see a .NET implementation of Python is on its way. Jython is great for Java and hopefully IronPython will be gr 400 eat for Mono/.NET and enable quicker prototyping of .NET apps. Groovy, which is a ground up Java scripting language, is...

This is good news for those Debian users, Progeny has released Anaconda for Debian. I guess as more and more people will move to Debian, it is a good idea to have a more familiar installion as Red Hat users are used to now with Anaconda. Progeny also has some plans for making Linu 400 x distros interchangeable using Discover.
