A couple of weeks ago, we sent a couple of engineers up to the Microsoft Technology Center in Mountain View, to work with some Microsoft guys to do load/performance testing of the upcoming (real soon now) NewsGator Enterprise Server (NGES).  So first, a big thanks to Zach and Luis at Microsoft who helped with this all week - they were...

As many have noticed, and blogged about, NewsGator's individual products (meaning everything except NewsGator Enterprise Server) are now all sold on a subscription basis. I already pointed out how we're not creating any kind of walled garden, and Jim Louderback agreed with that...

I'm pleased to announce that I will be participating in a teleseminar called "Blogging for Business", where we'll be discussing, believe it or not, blogging and RSS in business scenarios. Debbie Weil (author of the WordBiz Report) is putting it together, and Dave Taylor (of Teach Yourself Unix in 24 Hours and Solaris 9 for Dummies fame) will be...

Dave Winer on RSS enclosures: Chris Lydon has been doing a series of audio interviews on his weblog at Harvard. There are already over 25 interviews, representing 40 separate MP3 files. The archive is nearly 300MB. It's a perfect application for RSS enclosures. [Scripting News] Eek...any time I see an automatic 300MB download being a perfect...

The original code I had posted to generate RSS feeds from a VSS database has expired; I just put up a new version that will work through the end of October, and fixed a couple of bugs at the same time. This is an awesome tool (IMHO) - check it out! :-) Refer to the original post for instructions. Download here: msi | zip

The rumors and stories this morning are true...NewsGator has acquired NetNewsWire. Here's the press release, and a Q&A about the deal. This is awesome news - we're all very excited about it! The rationale here is similar to what I posted about the FeedDemon deal. Our system is designed to let users define the information...
