I've given a few launch demos in my day. And it is true Steve Jobs is the master. More and more I've tried to incorporate his style into my presentations (not just knock off but "embrace and extend"). Next time I give one of these demos, I'm going to call up Madonna too. "ring....ring...." -- "humm...guess she's not answering."

Read this and ask "Why?". Pretty sad that our "leaders" hold their duties in such low regard. That's a heck of a light sentence for deliberately destroying parts of the National Archive. Maybe Rove can be slapped on the wrist and told "that's a bad boy" in addition for his treasonous act. Still I think more needs to come to light about the lack...

Japanese Toilets are significantly more complicated than American or European toilets. For one they have both butt warmers and deodorizers. I liked the warmer...it was very nice. I found the deodorizer a bit insulting. I take pride in my accomplishments and really didn't want them covered up. The Japanese have a penchant for stating the...

Yes. See this 10/2004 National Geographic story. Or "Disaster in the making". Its a good thing that the government wasn't sitting idol. No, the government was cutting funding to the New Orleans branch of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, shelving a study of how to protect the city from a Category 5 storm. Most disturbing is that the punditry...

This has to be the stupidest law ever. So if you're a victim of domestic violence the state will now tell you that you should buy a gun. Neverminding the statistics and facts of what introducing a gun into an unstable household does. Gee...leave or stick around with your own shiny gun that you can't watch 24/7... This reflects poorly on the...

I've never been to Japan so I have no idea whether I'll be exceptionally connected or totally disconnected. Thus if you try and reach me...I may not reply. I'm going to Matsuyama. While I'll be there for JBoss stuff, I hope to meet folks there using POI if anyone is interested in meeting after hours. I'm not yet sure what all my host has...

Pat Robertson has basically called for Hugo Chavez's assasination on his "good faimily program" that Disney's ABC Family is nice enough to syndicate, "the 700 club". For those who wonder how this show got started...it had an earlier incarnation under the leadership of Jim and Tammy Baker. In its present incarnation mostly Pat tells you what you...

So it is 3:02AM (EST) and I just solved an obvious "duh" problem which probably means I should lay off of the teas and work on getting some zs. So I generally call black, black. I've frequently said that I don't think AOP is a programming paradigm for the masses, (now silly analysts say dumb things like "give it 5 years" or something stupid...
