Ever since I was bitten by the blogging bug, I was waiting for some kind of service like this from Microsoft that was easy to use, included some good features (photos, etc.), and built a community around MSN. It looks like Spaces fits the bill. I've just started my MSN Spaces site, and I'm impressed by what I see so far. Check it out.

MSR has posted an article called Your Personal Lifetime Store, explaining some of the research projects for digital media capture in your everyday life events and the systems that can be used to store and organize the information.
