Just got home from work to find an email from my Yukon TAP folks this morning that the missing April SQL Server 2005 has been released and is indeed up on MSDN. There is also a new Go-Live license for the SQL Express version starting today.

As expected, there is an ability to get a Go-Live license for .NET 2.0 Beta 2 allowing you to start deploying apps in production today. I was thinking only ASP.NET 2.0 but it makes sense that you would need the rest of the framework. See this page for info. Here is a list of ASP.NET 2.0 Hosters.

Description: Design Patterns are in vogue these days, but unfortunately Anti-Patterns seem to be the prevail in the majority of systems. According to Jim...

Yes, Beta 2 is now available to MSDN Subscribers. I have been using some TAP close to final Beta 2 builds the last few weeks and I think you will all be mighty impressed as I am.

It just so happens that I have a Magenic consultant working for me right now in helping me close down a big project (not not Rocky) and my good pal and fellow INETA Speaker Rocky Lhotka is in town for some talks and Magenic business. I leapt at the chance to invite Rocky down to Adesso and lunch. Rocky, myself, and two other Magenic guys had a...

We have a fantastic talk scheduled for the next meeting of Beantown.NET on April 7th. Knowing Jim as well as I do, I am sure (and I have encouraged him to) dip into WDL First! as well. Please RSVP here. Pizza will no longer be available to those who do not RSVP. Abstract: Messaging is at the heart of SOA architectures and WSE 2.0 gives us a...

Via Brian's Indigo Book site, I got reminded of Clemens two part series (so far): A Weekend with Indigo Part 1 and Part 2 and Part 3. Clemens has been associated with Indigo even longer than I and here you get a master digging in and explaining it to the masess. Mucho recomended!!

This is very cool! Brian Nantz let me know that he is developing an Indigo book with two members of the Indigo team (Scott Seely, Yaniv Pessach) and "I have managed to talk Addison Wesley into letting me write it on a blog (with Scoble’s help convincing of course!)." The site is http://www.thatindigobook.com. Subscribed!

After one of the longest alpha/beta programs I have ever been in at Microsoft, Win2K3 SP1 finally shipped at 5:20 PST. This is, like Windows XP SP2, going to be a vital upgrade with all of the great security work that has been done. Beta people can get it now. Actually, it's already up for everyone on Microsoft's site.

Ever feel like you're being tested? Just to add on to my woes and challenges, my Father-In-Law went into the ER yesterday and we found put he has a large Pulmonary Embolism and some small ones. This is life threatening. Sue is beside herself. Her sister Karen is flying in from Pasadena as we speak with her family. My boss Scott has it so right...

Like Paul, I had my woes with running the new Indigo CTP samples even though alphas had been fine. Thanks to his blog posting, he mentioned three steps in the Release Notes that he did and it worked! Thanks Paul! I now have Indigo running. Make sure you do these even if you think you have IIS installed...
