One of the missing collection classes in .Net is one that's not as often used, but when you need it, boy, it's really missing, is the Set. You know - Set theory (”Group Theory”) and all, including Intesect, join and so on. I found this really nice Set implementation library with Source over on CodeProject :...

GMail is annoying. In fact, it is very annoying. the “Wer'e cool” bunch have decided to “test” the service, and everyone is clamoring for a GMail account. Well, guess what Google? I just found a service which features: 1GM email (accessible through POP3) 100MB space for FTP and webdav access Some more stuff. All...

Ido writes about bad interviews. I had my own thoughs on this subject. but I wanted to add a point:   One thing I don't really get is the Pen and Paper interview. Why on earth would I, as an interviewer, want to see a candidate write code on a piece of paper? There are many issues in this. To me this is nothing more that making life hard...

Lots of weird things happen when you try to develop a right-to-left internationalized software package. For example, You *think* your menus on the main form are fine, in a right-to-left state, but when you *maximize* the form all the menus suddenly are re-ordered left-to-right. Like magic.   How to fix it - though it seems really stupid-...

One big concern I hear from people I meet is that they really want to have a weblog, but they want to write in hebrew, not in english, simply because they can express themselves better in their mother tounge. That was a problem. Lots of the blogging community in Israel either resides in non-technical sites, and whatever blogging infrastracture...

Just beautiful. Peli is creating an add-in to Reflector that simulates PageRank on methods - giving you the most called methods at the highest rank, allowing you to realize what you should be testing first in an existing application. Peli is slowly becoming one of the coolest bloggers around.

Well, I bought myself a pair of headphones with a mic attached, and installed Skype. I feel chatty, so if you feel like it, and see me online, Skype me (surprisingly, my user name is royosherove). Bob powell writes a scathing post about how VB is rubbish. I have to say, as a Mort myself, some of what he says is true, and has been said before, but some of it is just total miundestanding of the reasons for the differences between the languages. I'll tryo to answer some of it: . “The crummy thing has case insensitive names so POINT =...

From Dino's blog, it looks like the guys at Wintellect have started their own set of exclusive articles publishing from employees. There is a very good starting set over there already. Now, if they'd only publish an RSS feed it'd be perfect.
