eek! American Television is reaching new amazing lows. (via Bill)   ” In a unique television event, Barbara Walters documents a young birth mother's journey as she selects who, among five anxious couples vying for a child of their own, will become parents to her child. “   "I was basically deciding if they're going to...

Mike Schnikel is handing out free XDN subscriptions to .Net bloggers. He also donated some for my Add-in contest so that makes him a pretty cool guy, and a pretty good marketer too. The cool thing for me is that his latest generosity binge seems to have been inspired by one of my posts about viral marketing. Feel free to thank me with beer ;)...

Ah! great Outlook tip:   “Note to self: Next time it takes up to 15 seconds to switch between emails, be sure to disable the instant messaging feature. Tools->Options->Other->uncheck "Enable Instant Messaging in Outlook". “ [MelloBlog]   Nice.  In my case I could only find the “enable person name smart...

I was recently faced with the task of trying to figure out why, sporadically, when Calling an MSMQ's Peek() function, an application would loose memory for no apparent reason. It was pretty weird and hard to even recreate. Searching google turned up this very helpful news group message which seems to have answered the problem:    ...

Bill Vaughn started a blog over at DotNetJunkies. Coolness! I've been reading an hearing some of Bill's thoughts on Data Access in the recent past and all I can say is that I wish I knew all the stuff he's already forgotten about ADO.Net and Data Access techniques in general. Subscribed.   Now, here's something for Bill to gnaw on,...

Simply click “forward” on the mesage and the attachement will still be there, only it will be unblocked and you can save it. Also, I remember some Outlook security add-in making the rounds some time ago that let you disable “security...

Here's a cool sentence I heard on “Frasier”, which, ironically, applies to the software industry as well: “If less is more, just think mow much more “more” will be”

I read James Robertson's SmallTalk blog. I don't know why really (except that he has sometimes funny and interesting off topic posts). I don't write in SmallTalk (although I've tried it  acouple of times). Maybe it's for the same reason I sometimes put my radio on some Hasidic channel (equivelant to hardcore christian talk radio) - it's...

Just got the word- Essential Suite by SyncFusion has been added to 1st prize at the Add-in competition. That's the same suite of tools I use in The Regulator, along with the cool text editor that supports Syntax highlighting and Intellisense. Coolness factor raised again. First prize alone now stands at over 2,200$ yikes!   If I were you...
