Hello everyone....please help me with this.....am having problems with the rtfeditorkit, whenver i save an rtf file, and reopen them, some of the attributes are lost such as the alignment, color, is there a solution to this or is this java's problem

Helo everyone please help me with this.....am having problems with the jFileChooser.....i am actually creating a text editor the problem is whenever i save a file, I still need to put in on the text box in the jFileChooser the complete filename (e.g secret.rtf) ....what i want is to just put in the filename (e.g secret) then the jFileChooser...
