Sometimes I forget nested type accessibility rules (can containing classes access private members of the nested types?). I recently stumbled upon a nice reference: C# Language Specs: 3.5.2 Accessibility domains Included is a great little example at the bottom that serves as a nice quick reference: In the example public class A{ public static...

I don't know how many times I've blindly purchased seats in theaters I've never been to after failing to make sense of the convoluted seating charts. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra's implementation is fantastic: The view of the seats from the stage, and it shows the view from a section when you hover over it. After picking the section, it shows...

Anyone in love with their web host? My email has been down for over five hours -- and this isn't the first time. I've been having all kinds of trouble with WebHost4Life the past couple months and need to drop them pronto. I'm looking for ASP.NET, SQL Server, FTP and Email. Any referrals are greatly appreciated!

In keeping with tradition, I've sacraficed my personal productivity and am running a beta operating system that's giving me (thankfully few) headaches. A couple weekends ago I put together an x64 computer so I could give the XP Pro x64 Edition a spin. There have been surprisingly few bumps in the road, but some are worth noting: My awesome...

Mr. Hanselman posts the latest in a long line of links to a free app that makes Adobe Reader far less annoying. If you view PDFs (and who doesn't?), you need this. I think it even eleminates what is possibly the least useful dialog ever: (Reader takes so long to load that I've usually gone on to other things before this beauty pops up and...

It's been a while since I've done much HTML work, but I had no idea that I'd missed the boat. Apparently a good chunk of HTML elements and attributes have been deprecated. This is fine by me, as I'm taking a few minutes to learn hard-core CSS (goodbye, tables!), but the few of you that don't need to support Navigator 2.x anymore may want to...
