The system consists of: A programming methodology, which includes a sound treatment of object invariants in...

Wow. The Pixies are in town for five days, starting Sat. I went a little nutty when I heard this earlier in the year and bought two tickets: one for Sat and one for Tues. Good move! The Coctails, who have played only once since breaking up (AFAIK), are opening on Tuesday. Rejoice!

Looks like Microsoft is finally publicly acknowledging that Passport isn't going to fly, and will be used only by Microsoft and key partners. Thank goodness. I'm a good sport and have always used Passport on sites that supported it -- and it's almost always been a hassle. The problem is compounded if you need to have more than one Passport...

I've been using Skybound's (free!) VisualStyles control for a while, but just noticed this: Not only are the tabs correctly "themed", but the side and bottom tabs are displayed correctly. Nice!

Can someone please explain to me why this is necessary? The only thing I can think of is that they're betting on some genius forgetting that the 57" HDTV they price-checked two weeks ago is still in their basket when they buy the latest NASCAR Soundtrack CD. Am I wrong?
