Microsoft Research has come up with a prototype of what they call "BrowserShield" Researchers at the Redmond, Wash., company have completed work on a prototype framework called BrowserShield that promises to allow IE to intercept and remove, on the fly, malicious code hidden on Web pages, instead showing users safe equivalents of those pages...

Usually when you get Scobleized your hit rates spike and leave you wondering if you wrote something controversial!!! Actually Scoble linked to my blog last week (Indian BlogCamp gonna be bigger than TechCrunch) and there was hardly a blip in my hit rate. So did Scoble leaving Microsoft actually affect his blog power? I thought his being in MS...

I was just checking the blog of Peter, with whom I had a telecon in the morning, and found outA about this new tool that MS has released called Windows Live Writer. This is a windows application that allows you to blog from your desktop. I have not tried it yet, but I have been using Word 2007's blogging feature on and off and so do not see...

A fellow MVP pointed out to a new article on MS UK site on the Top Ten Worst Presentation Moments. I was really in a conference room, just waiting for a meeting to start when I read it and I almost laughed out loud. Though it it funny, it also gives a few pointers to how even with the best preparation, real life can be so unmanagable..;)

Apple has series of Ads now airing in the US that kind of makes fun of the PC and shows Mac as being cool. You can watch the Get the Mac Ads on the Apple site. While browsing one my friends (Manoj Agarwal) blog, I came upon this parody of one of the ads (the Virus Ad).

In interesting article in ZDnet comparing the Betas of the next versions of the two major browsers, Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox 2. From the analysis it looks like IE is no more the non-secure browser anymore...:)

A recent news.com article talks of MS starting to charge for the download of the new Office 2007 Beta. According to the article the reason is that due to the high download rates, it is costing MS a lot of money in bandwidth. This I think is a very bad move. The whole idea of public beta is to have public at large test the software and so help...
