The Tapestry Palette plugin for Eclipse provides for browsing and inspection of Tapestry components in a Tapestry web-application project. The plugin now has more robust project handling, visual feedback during drag and drop and a Property Sheet for inspecting component parameters.

In working with Tapestry I find myself getting confused by the number of components and their parameters, even when using the excellent Spindle plugin. I haven't written an Eclipse plugin yet so I put together a plugin, building on the Spindle classes to browse the components available in my project.

I've modified the DynamicBlock component to allow it to wrap some other content. this means that you can use DynamicBlock to do things like use a different PageBorder for different users with the same content in the middle.

I've moved my domains to my own dedicated server and it's not expensive.

I can use RenderBlock and Block to change the component displayed at a location in my pages based on some logic. DynamicBlock lets me do this without having to declare the Block components. I can add new components and not have to define a Block before DynamicBlock can display the component.

I cloned the Tapestry Inspector and added a Script tab so you can browse groovestry script source over the web.

After working on application component auto-discovery (see earlier blog postings) I wanted to get Tapestry to auto-discover Tapestry component libraries.
