installing netbeans

hi guys .. that's my 1st message .. i am a good C++ programmer but on the start of the way in JAVAanyway i am trying to install netbeans but i'm stopped by a message that says a suitable JVM couldnt be found .. plz run the program again using the option is-javahome ... if anybody could help i would be very grateful
