Servlet to Servlet Communication

Hi, does anyone know a way that twoservlets (on different machines) can communicatewith each other? The communication should be implementedusing HTTP POST/RESPONSE-Pairs... Or, more simple : Is there a way a Servlet can react on and parse a HTTP 200 OK - Response (e.g. with a XML-Payload or such) ?
