I don't know if anyone would be interested but I've been studying Java on my own and occasionally have questions on some of the "finer points" of the language. I was wondering if anyone in the NYC area would be interested in starting a little study group where we'd go through the chapters on our own and then bring questions to the study group. This way we could all learn from each other's knowledge plus it would help keep motivation higher.
Also, I think I might be interested in taking a training course on Java. I've looked online but I'm never happy w/ what I see. All the places look like they want $1,000-$2,000 for like a 4-5 day course. I can't imagine you can really learn the details of the language in 4-5 days. I'm really looking more for a small study group or a tutor who could answer my questions when they arose. Can anyone make any recommendations?
