Good day to u guys,

I have some doubts over the JRE installed in my PC.

I noticed that there are 2 JRE exist in my PC.

They are :
i)Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_02 file size :1.72mb
ii)Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_05 file size :137mb

I do not understand why these 2 JRE filesize are very far different?

Anyone can tell?

Can these 2 JRE coexist in my PC?
Or i shold uninstall either one?

Since both are from from J2SE version 1.4 its better to leave the 1.4.2_05 and uninstall the other.

Yes, they can. In Windows there is a Registry entry signaling the current one
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion

Probably you only need the major version.
But I have three version installed.
I need them for compatibility testing.
To test my applications in an older version I only have to reset that Registry entry to the value I want and when I finish the test I restore the major's version value

But I don't know why is your v1.4.1_02 so small, probably you have a semi-empty directory tree, check the content or resign to uninstall the older version (if you don't test conflictive application in older versions you won't need it)
