According to the biggest IT freelancer portal in germany, contractors are still searching slightly more C++ professionals, than java ones. Also really interessting that PHP is still a far away from being accepted in the IT industry, at least not for projects, big enough requiring external developers and consultants. Even Powerbuilder ranks before PHP. Here is an excerpt of the list, in brackets the number of searches from contractors for a specific language.
