The Internet is filled with angry OS X Tiger upgraders, there are security exploits, the whole thing is a mess. I posted that I couldn't install because it was DVD only and had to send for CDs. Over two weeks later and nothing. Luckily, I bought my iMac used for $300 and its a throwaway but I'd be plenty pissed if I had spent more money. But listen to this from prominent tech journalist (and Apple fan) Dan Gilmour, “I'm selling my old Mac Powerbook, and bought a new one that has Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) preinstalled. The changeover -- migrating my old applications and data to the new machine -- has been nothing but trouble. I won't go into the details, but after following instructions to the letter I find myself reinstalling for the third time. Who has time for this crap?” Ouch.
