Has anyone written and/or seen code (or a finished product) an RSS reader windows service?

I would love to have a service that periodically requests/reads/parses a set (probably 100's) of feeds and adds updates/changes to a file (or even better a database). I would then like to build an API around this data. I know most of pieces are floating around Google/Gotdotnet etc...but I before I start trying to figure out what I can use or reuse...it would be nice to see if anyone has done this work already.
