A new clustercomputing.org article describes the JXTA-based grid computing tool, Gridbus.

http://www.clustercomputing.org/?page=content/tfcc-4-2-buyya.html

Gridbus is an open-source framework that schedules jobs on a computation grid based on an economic model. In that model, resource owners get paid for loaning their computation resources to distributed computing jobs; those needing computing power, in turn, can bargain for the best prices when borrowing those resources. Gridbus is currently implemented in JXTA, and is freely available.
