printing in java

Hallo,

i need some information about the history of printing in java
(from JDK 1.0 till JDK 1.4) for my student research project.
Do anybody know a good link?

It would be nice if anybody could help me!!

Dear Friend,
I m facing a problem while printing a canvas/frame which contains one image and few text areas.
it works fine till we shows on the canvas/frame BUT IN PRINTING IT GIVES A TOTAL BLACK OUT IN PLACE OF IMAGE. WHERE AS THE TEXT AREA ARE COMING PERFECTLY ON RIGHT POSITION.
sO HOW TO SOLVE THIS OUT I HAD CHECKED IMAGE IT IS PERFECT WHILE PRINTING THRU BROWSER BUT I M NOT ABLE TO PRINT THRU MY APPLICATION PROPERLY.
THANKS IF U CAN HELP ME IN THIS REGARD
