I am using fileDialog to get my file from the local drive, however I am stuck when it comes to uploading it onto the server..
I am using BufferedReader to read the file and make some changes inside it (on which I am confused) and then I need to save it once in one location (the archive) and then change the name for the display page and save it in the displaying location.
can anyone help?

Sorry if I have been vague..
i collect the file from the local drive. (;o) easy)
i then need to save it onto the web server i.e. upload it. How do I do that?

you can use O'reilly MultipartRequest for doing the upload. There is an eg. of its usage in the servlet programming book by Jason Hunter.

well, it is not available online, fortunately, the source for egs. is avaialable. Have a look at the following link...

The multipart class is also available on this site.

PS : Get hold of the book, if you can.
