I agree with you guys..

an interview should not be 100% pure technical. it has to be a mixture of basic technicals and some good people skills. Most of the time , especially in the software industry, team work is more important than your expertise skills. The basic technical questions should be targetted towards finding how the candidates learning capability is. No matter how much hard core you are the learning curve will happen to be there when you switch companies. So the steaper the curve the harder the chances for getting the job.

If you are an experienced developer then drilling the projects will reveal whether what you have on your resume is some real wotk you involved or it all B***S***.
