KDCalc (www.KDCalc.com?r=jh)converts Microsoft Excel®
spreadsheets into high-speed, light-weight calculation engines for Java or .NET platforms. Non-programmers can build and test complex logic in Excel, then convert and embed the logic into applications. This allows you to embed Excel calculations into web pages for use with Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape 4.0. Additionally, deploy these complex calculations server side and tie them into JSP or ASP pages. KDCalc consists of an Excel plug-in and a runtime engine. The plug-in converts your spreadsheets into callable libraries. The runtime engine provides intuitive API access to your cell formulas. KDCalc lets you use the familiar, productive environment of Microsoft Excel to develop complex calculations and data transformations. The files generated by the KDCalc plug-in are small; usually less than 1/5 of the size of your spreadsheet. A competing Java spreadsheet product is a
whopping 1MB plus your spreadsheet. There is no comparable solution available in .NET. Generating compiled byte code, KDCalc is significantly faster than a competing Java spreadsheet product for most applications.
